Information we may collect about you

At Blissimi LLP, trading as Blissimi Hair Beauty & Medispa (Salon) and blissimi.com (online retail sales store), we take privacy seriously and only use the information we collect to provide our services.

We do not share or sell the information we collect for any other purpose than providing the salon services listed within the salon website (blissimibeauty.com) and selling products within our online store website (blissimi.com).

Information we collect from salon clients and from online store customers is kept completely separately within the respective website databases and is not amalgamated or shared.

Information we ask you for may include your name, address, telephone number, mobile telephone number, date of birth, and for salon services and treatments we are required to ask your medical history to determine safe and suitable delivery of services and compliance to meet public liability insurance requirements.

Business retention period for keeping customer data

As a matter of course, we will delete your identifiable information if you have not undertaken business with us after 3 years.

At any time, you may request a copy of information we have recorded about you.

You may also request we remove all identifiable information with respect to yourself.

Age of Consent

We consider the age of consent to be 16 years of age.

Where salon clients are below the age of consent, the information stored for them is that provided by a parent/guardian on their behalf and telephone and email details must be those of the parent/guardian.

How we use your information & your right to opt out

For transparency, listed here are the business services we provide and how each service uses the information we collect.

Hair and Beauty related services

We request the minimum level of personally identifying information to run our business effectively. This is data you provide us directly, for example, your name and contact details. We will never obtain information about you indirectly from sources outside our business.

We record and store notes with respect to services we undertake to ensure we maintain our level of service. For example, your preferred hair style, colour formula codes, how you like your coffee and who your favourite stylists are.

We consider you to have provided consent for us to store personally identifying information and information about your services based on you booking appointments and receiving services from us.

Medical History

Due to the service/’s we are providing it is necessary for us to ask questions related to your medical history to ensure treatments and services are safely delivered and meet the terms of our public liability insurance.

Medical history is either collected by the client completing a written form and the information then being entered manually into the Shortcuts salon management software, or entered by the client electronically on an ipad and uploaded directly into Shortcuts.

We consider the completion of Medical History forms as your consent to storing information related to your medical history within our salon software. Please note that if you opt out of allowing your medical information being stored, we will require you to complete a medical form prior to every appointment. Examples of medical data may be medical conditions such as allergies, pregnancy or an injury/condition that may impact the provision of our service.

Once data from written Medical Consent Forms has been entered electronically into Shortcuts, the paper forms are stored in a locked filing cabinet in the Data Protection Officers Office and can only be accessed through the DPO.

If a client requests their data to be deleted, all data will be deleted electronically and paper consent forms will be shredded by the DPO.

Appointment confirmations and reminders

We may contact you via phone, email or SMS to confirm appointments booked and remind you of upcoming appointments. We consider your having made the appointment as consent to undertake this activity but, if you prefer, you may opt-out of email and SMS reminders at any time. It is also our practice to sometimes call clients by telephone 24 – 48 hours prior to their appointments to confirm attendance.

Appointment ratings and reviews

After visiting us we may send you an email or SMS asking you to rate our services and provide feedback. We consider your agreement and participation in the service as consent to undertake this activity but, if you prefer, you may opt out at any time.

Loyalty Club

We consider you becoming a member of our loyalty program as consent to send you emails related to the loyalty program but, if you prefer, you may opt out at any time.

Marketing

We will not undertake phone, mail, email or SMS marketing without you first providing consent for us to do so.

Our marketing campaigns are automated and use rules based on services and products purchased and information we collect from you. For example, we may send marketing campaigns related to your birthday, the fact we miss you (if you have not visited for 3 months), special offers and promotions, salon event days, and other special days like Valentine’s Day and Christmas.

Of course, you may opt out of receiving marketing material at any time.

Online product sales

To place an order

Online customers who wish to buy products are required to register within our website Blissimi.com

Registration includes collection of your name, address, telephone number and email address for the purpose of delivering your order, and contacting you to notify you that your order has been processed, or to discuss any problems with your order.

We do not share or sell the information we collect for any other purpose than selling the products within our online store website (blissimi.com).

Online Sales Marketing

Registered customers may be sent seasonal emails with special offers and discount codes. Customers may opt out by unsubscribing from receiving emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any our emails.

All information that you supply us with is stored on secured servers. We will take all reasonable steps necessary to make sure that your data is treated securely in line with this privacy statement.

About cookies and the way we use them

In common with other websites, we do also use “cookies”.

You can control the use of cookies on your computer and can turn them on or off at anytime in your web browser settings. This site also asks if you wish to accept cookies. The cookies we use on this site are in relation to analytics and social media:

Analytics – We use analytics cookies to helps us understand how users engage with our website. An example is counting the number of different people coming to our website or using a particular feature, rather than the total number of times the site or feature is used. Without this cookie, if you visited the website once each week for three weeks we would count you as three separate users. We would find it difficult to analyse how well our website was performing and improve it without these cookies.
